Purpose Of Role:
Supporting business units across the corporation, the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division within State Street Corporation establishes and maintains appropriate risk management policies, guidelines and limits, and assists executive and business-level management with minimizing operational, credit, legal, regulatory, reputational and other risks to the company.
The position is located in Krakow within the Risk Management Department Poland. The successful candidate will be supporting operational risk management and ensure accurate completion of risk reporting. S/he will interact with various functions across State Street organisation, working closely with colleagues in EMEA and the US regions in particular.
The Risk Management Department Poland is expected to grow considerably over the next couple years as a wider scope of responsibilities and more in-depth reporting and analysis is introduced.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Operational Risk
Support day-to-day operational risk management, monitoring and reporting activities including scenario analysis.
Deliver supporting materials and support ORM risk identification workshops
Help in building of Operational Risk Tools (such as: Error Database, Self-Assessment, Key Risk Indicators)
Help in creating Operational Risk Procedures
Provide tracking of outsourcing initiatives
Ensure the activities adhere to the relevant internal policies and procedures whilst fulfilling relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Close liaison with other functions across State Street, including Client Servicing Teams, Compliance, Risk, Legal etc.
Risk Related Reporting
Prepare accurate and timely risk reporting to support risk report generation across the EMEA ERM footprint.
Identify, aggregate, and utilize different sources of data in the risk report generation process
Manage the data gathering process, develop and maintain relationships within State Street to obtain necessary data and information to generate risk reporting
Support report owners in the development, design, and enhancements of risk reports to improve the identification, assessment, and management of risk related issues
Ensure maintenance and integrity of internal risk data and systems
OTHER
Assist in departmental ad-hoc projects.
Make recommendations for changes to processes and procedures and prepare documentation for review as required.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Solid working knowledge of English (knowledge of German will be additional benefit)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint applications, VBA programming and macros
Skilled and experienced in using and understanding the capabilities of (credit and operational) risk management software packages
Ability to multi-task while working under pressure
Excelent Analytical skills, ability to identify risk areas in processes
Reliable and proactive working attitude with an eye for detail
Strong personal organization and planning skills and ability to meet stretching deadlines
